SIDEWALK ART SHOW

John G. Young, M.D.

I. Ho Hum

Sitting in the sun

waiting for someone

to buy a painting.

It isn't much fun

burning in the sun,

I feel I'm fainting.

People watching's fun

but they look and run,

too bad they're restrainting.

II. Bin Work

She pours a while

over my display,

a pleasant delay,

but she has no dough.

Two cheeks smile

as she turns to go.

It seems the style

to let it show.

Maybe I'll stay

to watch the show.

III. Highs

The balloonman nearby

loses some to the sky

and some to a guy

seeking helium highs.

IV. Higher Highs

When at last one's sold

I'm right up with the balloons

No longer ready to fold

I'd sooner stay till midnight.
